Reclaiming America
We could say these are the worst of times when we look at a picture of America today. We see people removing God from every element of our society. It shows itself in the killings, the shootings, the stealing, the rampant drug use, lack of respect for police and property, the division among people, the woke ideology, and especially the hatred – the anything goes attitude that we read about in the everyday news. Our freedoms are being squashed, especially our freedoms of speech, religion and the right to bear arms guaranteed by the Constitution. We have all been blindsided by the changes that are now affecting our way of life. From external appearances America seems broken right now.
This nation was founded under God, and when our rights have been violated, we have fought to preserve them. We bend, but do not break. There is hope because we have God on our side. And He will not let this nation, founded under His guidance, be taken over by evil forces.
How can we help change the present course of our nation that has been moving toward socialism and the destruction of our democracy, which has been in progress for a long time? This may seem like a tough question to answer and find a solution, but we have Jesus to help us.
When Jesus walked through the land, people came to Him for healing. Today, we don’t have the in-person Jesus, but the invisible Jesus ready to heal this nation’s ailments. Hopefully, we know that we can encounter Him wherever we are, and He hears our every prayer because He has never abandoned His beloved people. He is eager to be with us and to help us in our times of need. So whenever we see needs on this journey of life, let’s have the hope, trust and faith to keep asking our Beloved Jesus to help us with them. In keeping our thoughts and eyes fixed on Jesus, we might even call this the best of times.
It’s not that Jesus needs our prayers to act, but we need them, to increase our faith and to grow closer to Him and begin seeing the world as He does. When our relationship with Jesus increases, then we are ready to do our part in praying for the conversion of all God’s children on the left and the right, changing the direction of their lives toward God. Each prayer counts toward doing some good somewhere, which is a way to bring about change in America, and hopefully a rebirth of our nation under God.
It’s important to remember that everything is possible with God, so we must not lose trust, hope or patience in His plan and timing for America because He sees and knows what mankind cannot.
